Want to learn more about teaching engineering?
Are you a new-to-engineering educator or an experienced educator who wants to learn more about engineering? Check out the Practices for an Engineering Mindset. Here, you’ll find Learning Blasts – short video modules designed to introduce you to one of the engineering practices, and to help you see how you might already be engaging in this practice with your youth or to help you plan to do so in the future. Learning Blasts are self-paced, free, and accessible any time, and they’ll take less than 30 minutes to complete. Currently we have three Learning Blasts available, with more coming soon: Use an Engineering Design Process, Explore Materials, and Persist and Learn from Failure.
Need Engineering Activity Ideas?
Are you looking for inspiration or ideas for engineering activities for youth? Check out our Learning Activities where you’ll find some of our favorite engineering activity guides. You’ll also find links to other engineering activity ideas, like Novel Engineering from our partners at the Center for Engineering Outreach and Education at Tufts University – integrating literacy and engineering!
Looking for ways to help your staff grow as educators?
If you’re looking for ways to support your educators, or you’re an educator who wants to improve your teaching practices, you can find resources on Training Staff. For example, you can find a variety of resources here about providing equitable and inclusive learning spaces.
