Training Situation: Training (small group)
Length: 60 minutes
Objectives: Participants will take a Project Implicit test in order to reflect on the needs of nondominant youth in their program.
Agenda:
Participants will identify their role and attitude towards failure and discuss strategies for creating an environment where failure feels okay.
Participants will demonstrate the importance of models when trying to answer questions, draw conclusions and develop solutions in engineering.
Participants will develop strategies to support emerging STEM identities using the Building for the Big One activity.
