Objectives: Participants will engage in Building for the Big One to learn to develop STEM identities.
Agenda:
Participants will take a Project Implicit test in order to reflect on the needs of nondominant youth in their program.
Participants will design a sandwich “protector” to learn how engineers use multiple practices to design solutions.
Participants will compare Glurch and Oobleck to learn how to engage youth in active learning.
